RE: Raptor 5th wheel, Adding hitch to tow double

Mine has had a hitch since it was almost new......put a flatbed trailer behind it to hauls quads, ect....Sandrail is in the Raptor....Just went to a good muffler/hitch shop and told them what I wanted....Tows perfect and yes it is a little long. If you look at the picture in my signature you can see the flatbed!:)

RE: Raptor3612 Wholesale price question

From what I can tell as an auto dealer the auctions are full of RV"s that have just been repoed.....I have never seen so many coaches, trailers.... all kinds of RV's just lined up waiting for the repo sale to begin.....They have these sales once a month.....Now is not a good time to try to sell any RV unless you own it outright and are willing to let it go for a lot less! Hope the helps you make a decision.

RE: Raptor fuel station problem

The color comes from fuel sitting in the rubber hose from the pump to the nozzle......mine has always done it after I have not used the fuel station for a while!

RE: Raptor 5th wheel, Adding hitch to tow double

I added a hitch 4 years ago and have had no problems. Go to any good trailer hitch or good muffler shop that does hitches....Mine goes from outside frame rail to rail and is reinforced in the center and welded to the crossmember in the center also. My second trailer is a dual wheel 14' flatbed that hauls toys....To be legal in Ca...you must have brakes on all vehicles and the right licenses.
Hope this helps!:)

RE: Subwoofer/Stereo Issues on a Raptor 3612ds

You didn't say what year your Raptor is? My 05 bought new did not come with a sub woofer and yes the amp does have a connection for one! The speakers on the outside are connected to the cd/radio located on the outside of the trailer just above the wheels!:)

RE: Raptor owners, battery question

On my 05 3612 I have tried a couple of things....First I put 4 12v batteries in the main battery compartment by making a saddle to fit over the existing two 12v batteries....It worked fairly good but was very hard to service because everything was so tight.....I have since removed the 12v's and made a bracket so that I could install 2 6v golf cart batteries in the main compartment.....I installed 4 more batteries in the front compartment next to the genny...they are not in boxes but in a metal frame....I drilled three large holes in the bottom of the compartment and installed a large vent on the door that vents both the batteries and the genny compartment. I now have a large battery bank that along with two large solar panels and the 3000 watt inverter lets me almost never start the gen set.

RE: electrical

To each his own.....I have found that the Xantrex Inverter/Charger has sone advantages...Takes up less room in the RV...It has got to be easier to install....manages all the power input and output for the RV...autostart on the gen set and auto shut off...battery equalization...and yes get rid of the factory installed converter!

RE: Tie Downs on Raptor walls.

Many of the trailer supply houses have something similar to e track but made for bungee cords that is meant to fasten the whole length of your walls....It attaches with lots of small screws.... and has slots large enough to get a bungee hook into every couple of inches the entire length of the wall....I have used this system for over three years now and have not had any problems....

Raptor Fuel Station Problem

Tried to get a little gas from the fuel station tonight and when I turned on the switch heard a click as I moved from on to off and the motor did not start? Always worked fine before....Sounds like the pump is stuck? Anyone had theirs apart? Any suggestions. Thanks Bill

RE: Installation of E Track in garage for hauling Bikes

I used three e tracks.....one down the center...the other two about a foot from each outside wall. The floor in mine in 1" plywood so I used a large number of screws to secure.....I have had everything from two large quads, sand rail, two Harley's, and KLR 650 plus once in a while a Ducati ST4s inside the cargo area....never a problem..On the bikes I use a chock for the front wheels and I have lots of anchors of different kinds for the e track! On the bikes you should tie down the rear too! Hope this helps?

Did I miss something?

Just had a King Dome sat dish installed on my fiver....Worked great in my driveway {So. Cal}. I have Dish Network and it works off two satellites.....Switches form one to the other just fine....Went to Laughlin Nv..for the weekend and the unit would only lock onto one satellite. Got home and the unit worked fine in my driveway? Did I miss something or do something wrong.....Clear view of the sky form RV park in Laughlin....Thanks

RE: time to replace my batteries

The 6 volt golf cart batteries from Costco are made to be discharged mayn times and still live a long life....I am not sure what the amp hour rating is but one publication that came with my inverter says that they are 220 amp hours each? 4 times 220 is lots of use of the batteries before they need charging!

RE: adding 2nd AC to Raptor 3712TS

The thermostat on my ad on a/c is in the unit itself.....works great! Be sure to check the circuits when you hook it up...the factory had both a/c units of the same circuit breaker....moved some wires around in the pannel so that both would run at the same time.

RE: screwing down raptor tie down track system in toy hauler

There are plenty of holes in the e track....enough so that you can use 1" bolts every two or three inches if you want too....Mine has been screwed down for over three years with lots of different things tied to them and they have never failed...just don't over tighten!
Check them once in a while too!
